Having come from the theory of elementary particles, they are widely used both in creation of models of compact objects and in research on the evolution of the universe as a whole. In particular, the models of quasi-star objects from scalar fields, the socalled boson stars, are well known.1–3 In cosmology, scalar fields are the basis for creation of models of the early inflationary universe. en_US
