Abstract:
Scalar fields play a fundamental role in modern cosmology and astrophysics. Having
come from the theory of elementary particles, they are widely used both in creation
of models of compact objects and in research on the evolution of the universe as
a whole. In particular, the models of quasi-star objects from scalar fields, the socalled
boson stars, are well known.1–3 In cosmology, scalar fields are the basis for
creation of models of the early inflationary universe.
