| dc.description.abstract | In the life of modern humanity, active interaction among different countries, peoples, and their cultures plays a significant role. Intercultural communication refers to communication between people who represent different cultures. The theory of intercultural communication is a relatively young discipline, even though people have engaged in intercultural contacts since ancient times. When individuals enter into international interactions, they encounter representatives of other cultures who may differ significantly in language, national cuisine, clothing, social behavior norms, and attitudes toward the world and other people. Due to these differences, such contacts can be challenging or even impossible. Moreover, each person perceives a foreign culture through the lens of their own, which greatly hinders intercultural interaction. To ensure successful communication between representatives of different cultures, it is essential to acquire specific skills in effective intercultural communication. | ru |
