dc.description.abstract	The article examines the process of updating the approaches of state policy on the payment of targeted social assistance to the population of Kazakhstan in the context of political modernization. The author studied the key directions of political modernization concerning the social aspect. In particular, the author identified such a characteristic of the modern model of social policy as "case-oriented". This article identifies the main innovations and trends in the payment of targeted social assistance since 2019, as well as identifies the reasons for these trends and their possible consequences.	ru
