The article examines the influence of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Soft Skills on interpreters in Kazakhstan. Our data comes from official statistics, interviews with interpreters, and a review of relevant literature. Through case studies, we have identified the daily challenges faced by interpreters. We propose that EI and Soft Skills are valuable in helping interpreters overcome these challenges, ultimately improving their work quality, well-being, and career development. We have categorized the essential skills that interpreters find crucial and explored their self-perception within this profession. This research highlights the significant role of EI and Soft Skills in interpretation, providing valuable insights into their impact on interpreters' professional lives. It serves as a foundational study for future research in this area.

КОНЦЕПТ «ПРИВЕТСТВИЕ» В КАЗАХСКОМ, АНГЛИЙСКОМ И РУССКОМ ЯЗЫКАХ Досбергенова, А.Ж. В данной статье рассматриваются лингвистические особенности и культурные аспекты выражения приветственных форм в казахском, английском и русском языках, проводится анализ уникальных черт, вариаций и особенностей употребления приветствий в каждом из языков, выделяя культурные и социальные контексты, которые влияют на их употребление. В ходе исследования применяются сравнительносопоставительный метод анализа для определения схожих и различных аспектов восприятия приветствий в разных культурах, предоставляя заинтересованным лицам глубокое понимание того, как языковые элементы отражают менталитет и общественные ценности. Результаты, полученные в ходе проделанной работы, будут полезными для лингвистов и исследователей языка, так как внесут вклад в исследования об изменениях культурных норм и обычаев в контексте глобализации.

TRANSLATION AS A MEDIATOR OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION Boranbayeva, А.S. The theory of intercultural communication has practically emerged as an independent discipline in the last decade. In the article "Translation as a mediator of intercultural communication" translation is considered as a kind of mediator of intercultural communication, the types of linguistic mediation are characterized. Concepts related to different cultures lead to the fact that its interpretation by a native speaker of linguistic culture may differ. The translator helps to establish communication between citizens of different countries, attentively treats not only linguistic differences in the presentation of information, but also the nuances of perception of cultural values. The problems of intercultural communication formed during the transmission of national and cultural diversity are studied. The necessity of a deep theoretical and practical understanding of the changes taking place in the language from the standpoint of sociolinguistic analysis is considered. Considerable attention in the article is paid to translation as a type of intercultural communication.
