dc.description.abstract	In this article a literary review was conducted, the concepts of "innovation" and "innovative activity" proposed by different authors were studied. The classification of types of innovations is considered, key indicators of innovation activity of an industrial enterprise are identified, statistical data from an official state source regarding the concept of "innovation" are considered, in particular, the level of activity in the field of innovation, the costs of technological innovations by sources of financing.
