dc.description.abstract | In modern education, teachers serve as guides, nurturing students not only in subject matter but also in transversal competencies essential for success. This article explores the significance of transversal skills in higher education, analyzing student perceptions through surveys. Results reveal varied opinions on the correlation between these skills and academic performance, highlighting the importance of fostering them for navigating the complexities of university life. Drawing from research and educational frameworks, the article underscores the multifaceted nature of transversal competencies, including interpersonal skills, communication, and problem-solving. It advocates for prioritizing these skills to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.
