The publication discusses the practice of historical and cultural expertise using the example of a cement plant
construction project in the Zhambyl district of Almaty region. The main result of the work was a change in the
boundaries of the site requested for construction in accordance with the recommendations of experts, which
prevented the threat of destruction of sites. Historical and cultural expertise is considered as a scientific study,
the purpose of which is to identify and protect historical and archaeological sites. The work carried out by the
authors is an example of effective interaction with customers in the matter of preserving historical and cultural
heritage sites and the need for economic development of the region. The study emphasizes the need to provide
transparent and understandable conclusions of historical and cultural expertise, including clear prohibitions and
specific recommendations for the protection of sites. The results of the examinations should be available to the
public and published on official Internet resources, as well as in scientific publications. Complete openness in the
issue of historical and cultural expertise is the key to preventing the destruction of sites and ensuring their safety
for future generations.
