The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that ESP is a viable alternative to the general English language courses used in many universities in Kazakhstan, in particular at ENU. ESP helps students develop language skills directly applicable to their chosen fields of study, and also enhances their ability to communicate effectively in both academic and professional contexts. The study recommends that educational institutions and teachers recognize the importance of ESP as it has been proven to have a positive impact on the future professional life of students.ru_RU
