The article aims to explore the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the
professional development of physical education teachers. Considering the digital developing of education, modern
teachers are expected to acquire new professional skills, including digital and technological experiences. Physical
education, as a practice-oriented subject, has its specific conditions for applying digital technologies and artificial
intelligence. The article is based on the analysis of various scientific literature and research on the implementation of
digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in physical education. In addition, attention is paid to digital
technologies that are essential for teacher professional growth, such as online learning platforms, wearable technology,
video analysis, and AI-based feedback. At the same time, the article identifies some challenges related to the realization
of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, such as a lack of digital competence, technical limitations, and ethical
concerns.
The results of the study are related to the pedagogical potential of digital technologies and artificial intelligence
for enhancing the effectiveness of teacher professional development programs. The article may be relevant for
educators, researchers, and educational institutions that are involved in teacher training and professional growth.
