Relevance. The organization of dialogue interaction is relevant at the initial stage of study at the university, as the dialogue
creates the basis for respectful and friendly relations between students, promotes fruitful cooperation of all subjects of
educational processes.
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to explore the importance of dialogue in the socio-cultural development of the
individual.
Methodology. The methodological basis for solving this scientific problem is the theoretical foundations of the systemactivity approach. The fundamental point of the study is the methodological basis of the research proposal - the study of
the functions of dialogue.
Results. The result of this study showed that for effective cooperation with other people in various activities, the
successful assimilation of universal human values and norms of behavior, a student must have a culture of dialogue. The
formation of a culture-dialogue is one of the directions for realizing the tasks of socio-cultural development.Conclusions. The culture of dialogue involves the adoption of oneself and the other with attitudes of moral and humanistic
values, contributes to the development of the individual and society as a whole.
